Pack 7 scouts were invited to take a tour of the Ross Valley Fire Department’s Fairfax Station. Here we explored the kitchen, offices, and living quarters of our local fire department. We then got a tour of a fire truck and a demonstration of all the tools used to do the job. Each scout that participated in the event was able to shoot water out of a real fire hose!

The Wolf Den organized a day hike at Ring Mountain on the Tiburon Peninsula. This spot is well known for hiking, birding, and bouldering. The Dodsworth Family treated us to an educational presentation on mountain climbing, climbing safety, tools, and told us stories of being a guide on El Capitan in Yosemite. We had lunch and after a short safety demonstration, our scouts sampled bouldering first hand. We traversed across some large rocks and got a taste of this fun activity. |
