• Camping at Tamarancho
  Saturday 9/23 - Sunday 9/24
  
  We will be camping one night at Shady Bend on Tamarancho. Don't worry about the washed-out road - Ranger AJ will ferry our gear to the site and we'll hike in. The trailhead originates near the peak, so the hike is fairly level and less than 2 miles - earlier this year, several kindergarteners did fine on it.
  
  Shady Bend is a great campsite. It's shaded and protected from the wind. There's a nice hike to the old B-17 engine, and a creek bed to play in (dry this time of year). Plan on s'mores, delicious tin foil cooking and a fun campfire!

• ​Sunday 8th: Pack 7 Birthday Party at Canon Club. 
  • A small service project, a birthday cake, and free swim to celebrate Pack 7's birthday. Many kids tell us this event is their favorite each year.
