Pack 7 Webelos went up to Camp Marin Sierra for the annual Webelos Woods event. Here they spent the weekend participating in activities like swimming, first aid, and shooting sports. It was an awesome experience! Our very own Colin McLain represented Pack 7 in the Marin Council Pinewood Derby at the Marin County Fair. Colin’s car “It’s not gonna win” took home the third place trophy for the Bears. Congratulations Colin! We had a great night as we celebrated our Pack 7 Webelos II. We watched as our oldest Cub Scouts received their Arrow Of Light and then bridged over to officially join Scouts BSA. Pack 7 spent the night on the SS Jeremiah O’Brien Liberty Ship that resides in San Francisco. Our scouts toured the main deck, the living quarters, and the engine room. They were treated to pizza and a fun game that taught them all about the ship’s unique role in WWII. Our annual Pack 7 Pinewood Derby was a smashing success! Our scouts worked hard designing, building, and painting their cars for the big race. Colin McLain's car, “It’s not going to win” ended up taking home the first place trophy. Great job to all of our Cub Scouts!
We want to send a huge thank you out to all of our families who attended our Blue and Gold Banquet. We hope everyone had a great time! Check out our Instagram for some great photos of the evening! To top off a fun evening, the Boy Scouts of America took notice of our banquet and posted about it on their Instagram! Thousands of people across the country and around the world got to see the Storm Troopers in action at our Blue and Gold banquet! Pack 7 scouts were invited to take a tour of the Fairfax Police Department and learn all about safety and forensics. We explored the 911 dispatch station, checked out a police car, and learned how to dust for fingerprints. Corporal Judge, Officer Kenerly and Dispatcher Crow showed us the inner workings of the police department. Each scout that participated received a sticker! Our visit got a write up in the San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch Our Bear Den organized a tour of the Bear Valley Visitor Center and a day hike at Point Reyes National Seashore. Our scouts learned about local plants and animals and then viewed them in the wild on the Earthquake and Kule Loklo Trails. It was a really fun day! Our third pack meeting of the year was a scary success. Pack 7 celebrated Halloween with lots of fun games. We had pumpkin bowling, apple bobbing, ghost building, mystery creepy crawly jars, a giant spider web, and the ever popular toilet paper mummies. Our Cub Scouts had a ghoulish good time! |
